About us
CraigCare is a long established, leading member in the aged care provider community in both Western Australia and Victoria. We currently have multiple opportunities for personable Personal Care Workers to join us at our Berwick Home on a Permanent Part Time basis.
Qualifications & experience
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Certificate III in Aged Care is preferred (or currently working towards)
- Previous experience in Aged Care
- Commitment to providing excellent residential care and services
- Commitment to at least 3 shifts per week
- Flexibility to work across and pick-up varied shifts across a weekday and weekend roster (AM and PM)
- Basic computer skills
Key Responsibilities
- Support residents in living the life they choose by allowing them to exercise choice and independence.
- Contribute to the overall quality of life of the residents (physical, emotional and lifestyle interests).
- Implement clinical and care interventions delegated by the Registered Nurses, and as documented in the resident's care plan.
- Assist residents with their personal care and hygiene needs while encouraging their independence.
- Ability to prioritise workloads effectively and deliver care with decency and compassion.
- Kindness and patience with residents are essential, as is respect for their individual needs. You must also respect their privacy, dignity, choice, and self-esteem.
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
Essential Requirements:
- NDIS Workers Screening Check Clearance
- Proof of Work rights in Australia
