The Role
We are looking for our first Security Engineer to join our team in Sydney. Open to hiring at Senior/ Staff/ Principal level. This is your chance to take ownership of critical security initiatives, lead incident response efforts, and shape the security posture of a rapidly growing AI company and agent orchestration platform trusted by thousands of customers.
Reporting to our Director of Engineering, your work will directly protect our enterprise customers and infrastructure, while enabling secure innovation. You'll have the autonomy and trust to implement security best practices, lead security programs, and engage confidently with both internal teams and external enterprise clients.
You'll work closely with engineering teams across our cloud infrastructure and SaaS platform, focusing on strengthening platform security, vulnerability management, secure software development practices, and ensuring compliance with frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

Your Impact
Take ownership of security initiatives from the ground-up, including implementing best-practice security processes, and leading incident monitoring and response efforts.
Enhance the security posture of our enterprise products by proactively identifying and addressing vulnerabilities.
Oversee and administer an industry-standard vulnerability reward program.
Drive continuous improvement in security compliance, monitoring, and governance, including emerging challenges around AI agent security.
Serve as a trusted security expert and collaborate closely with engineering teams to embed security best practices and build secure systems by design.
Represent the company in customer-facing security discussions, providing authoritative technical assurance to enterprise clients.

What We're Looking For
5+ years in software/ security engineering, specializing in securing cloud-based SaaS platforms.
Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure security (AWS preferred).
Experience implementing and managing security processes: incident response, vulnerability management, SOC 2/ ISO 27001 compliance.
Strong technical credibility and experience influencing teams on secure development practices.
Confident addressing security questions and supporting enterprise sales security discussions.
Thrive in fast-paced, high-trust startup environments and a proactive problem-solver.
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex security concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
Passionate about advancing AI security, multi-agent systems, and emerging AI governance challenges.
