Distribution Planning Engineer
to help drive the transition to a smarter, more sustainable electricity network.
As part of our dynamic team, you'll play a key role in planning and optimising our 11kV and Low Voltage (LV) networks. From identifying emerging constraints to enabling the integration of solar, EVs, and batteries, this role is at the forefront of the energy transition.
What You'll Do
- Proactively identify and resolve network constraints across the 11kV and LV networks.
- Develop innovative, data-driven planning solutions that support electrification and consumer energy resources (CER).
- Contribute to a rolling 5-year capital works program with robust business cases.
- Conduct technical studies for customer connections and ensure alignment with performance standards.
- Support Evoenergy's evolution into a Distribution System Operator (DSO).
- Collaborate across teams and mentor others in best practices and planning approaches.
Essential
What you'll bring
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years' experience in the electricity supply industry.
- Knowledge of network planning, risk analysis, and economic evaluation (NPV, DCF).
- Knowledge of power system modelling tools (e.g., SINCAL, DMS, Grid Edge platforms).
- Desirable:
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks in the National Electricity Market (NEM).
- Familiarity with project and risk management principles.
