About the role:

In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for analysing financial data and preparing accurate reports that help our clients understand their financial position and make informed decisions. You'll manage records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax obligations, ensuring compliance and clarity across all financial activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards;
• Apply knowledge of client/firm/industry trends and current issues;
• Prepare clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed;
• Check financial statements and management accounts eliminating adding, referencing and typing errors;
• Help identify accounting issues;
• Apply basic tax compliance procedures;
• Assist with tax planning for clients;
• Prepare income tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts;
• Complete requisite regulatory forms; and
• Comply with lodgment program by meeting lodgment dates and requirements.

DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:

Essential

• 1-2 years in a similar role
• Strong Communication Skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Essential

• Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major

Desirable

• Commencement of CA or equivalent
