The Business

Join Patties Food Group, home to Australia's favourite brands like Four'N Twenty, Nanna's and Herbert Adams, as our next Raw Materials Officer at our Brisbane site. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the frontline of product quality - ensuring our raw materials meet specifications and support production efficiency across the site.

About the Role

Reporting to the Site Quality Manager, the Raw Materials Officer is responsible for inspecting, verifying, and managing the quality of all incoming raw materials. You'll work closely with supply chain, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure materials meet strict food safety and quality standards. In this role, your key duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

· Inspect and test incoming raw materials against product specifications

· Liaise with suppliers on quality issues, documentation, and corrective actions

· Maintain accurate records of material inspections, non-conformances, and supplier performance

· Support traceability, stock rotation, and raw material release processes

· Conduct regular reviews of raw material specifications in collaboration with QA and procurement teams

· Assist in internal and external audits relating to raw material compliance

· Contribute to continuous improvement of raw material quality and handling processes

The Person

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a Raw Materials focused role, preferably in the food/FMCG landscape. You will also have previous experience and skills regarding the following-

· Previous experience in a QA, supply chain or materials inspection role (food/FMCG industry preferred)

· Strong understanding of food safety standards, BRC and HACCP

· High attention to detail with excellent documentation and communication skills

· Comfortable working in a cold storage or warehouse environment as required

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory or QA systems
