Casual Chef – Albert Park (20–30 hrs/week)

$32–$45 per hour (depending on experience)

We're looking for an experienced and reliable Casual Chef to join our small, friendly team at Ascot Catering, based at the Albert Park Yachting & Angling Club.

You'll be working in a beautiful beachside venue, preparing fresh, seasonal dishes for a variety of events — from casual lunches to private functions and weddings.

About the Role:

  • 20–30 hours per week (flexible roster)
  • Duties include working across the salads and fryer sections, food prep, plating, and maintaining kitchen standards
  • Shifts may include weekdays, evenings, and weekends
  • Immediate start available

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Minimum 6-12 months of commercial kitchen experience required
  • Is reliable, efficient, and a good communicator
  • Works well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Has strong attention to detail and pride in their work
  • Must have Australian work rights
  • Food safety certificate is preferred but can be flexible
