Club Assist is a global market leader partnering with motoring clubs worldwide to improve member experiences. As battery technology experts, we specialise in the sourcing, storage, distribution and installation of automotive, motorcycle and marine batteries, alternators and starter motors. Our mobile service offering includes roadside services, battery replacement, alternators and starter motor replacement and vehicle inspection.

The Role

The purpose of the role is to create value for Club Assist by providing roadside assistance, delivering and installing batteries to members and customers of local auto clubs in a timely, efficient and friendly manner. The position exists to assist in the overall achievement of service delivery and, response times.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure callouts are attended to and completed within Club Assist Roadside Assistance benchmarks and in accordance with Roadside Assistance policies and procedures.
  • Provide Auto Clubs and affiliated club members and customers with sound advice (both mechanical advice and advice on Roadside Assistance products and alternatives)
  • Complete all associated financial and administration processes in accordance with Roadside Assistance policies, procedures and practices.
  • Account for all stock movements daily.
  • Ensure quality internal and external customer service is always provided.
  • Participate in project work as required.

You must have:

  • Mechanical trade experience
  • Current C Class Driver Licence (manual)
  • Mechanical or Auto Electrical trade qualification is advantageous
  • Experience in Roadside Assistance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer relations experience
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational experience
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant automotive club products, services and policy systems.
  • Ability to apply initiative to unusual/unknown situations
  • Sound problem solving, negotiation and decision-making skills
