Who are we?

Grange Resources is Australia's most experienced magnetite producer from its iron ore mining and pellet production business located in the North-West region of Tasmania.

The Savage River magnetite iron ore mine (located 100 kms southwest of Burnie) is a long-life mining asset where ore is mined and processed before it is transported by pipeline (85kms) to Grange's pellet plant and ship loading facility at Port Latta.

Professional Opportunity:

As a key member of our Business Planning and Analysis team, you will be responsible for undertaking financial analysis and providing insights to support strategic decision making and major capital expenditure project.

You will leverage your strong analytical skills and modelling skills to identify trends, risks and make recommendation to site operations and management teams to drive business improvements.

In this role, you will:

• Assist with the distribution and development of the annual life of mine budget and forecasting requirements to our site-based teams
• Take ownership of a wide range of accounting challenges and drive business improvements
• Partner with site teams and management to validate proposed projects and investments to maximise business value
• Assist with the monitoring of cost performance on major projects
• Commercial analysis and identification of cost reduction opportunities/strategies
• Assist with the development of building and analysing cost reports within business intelligence tools
• Work collaboratively with key decision-makers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Assisting with management of the business's capital portfolio including developing business cases, project implementation, cost tracking and emission tracking and reporting.

About you:

You will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Economics, or Finance/Accounting
• Financial acumen along with excellent analytical skills
• 3 years professional experience in accounting/finance-related role
• CPA/CA or associated professional association (or working towards)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs, including advanced user of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with PowerBI will be advantageous
• Current full manual driver's license
