THE ROLE
Daracon has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join the Hunter Valley team delivering Transport, Mining and Pipeline infrastructure projects. As the Senior Project Engineer you will be responsible for managing the project delivery, whist working closely with the project supervisor and project team of skilled operators, surveyors and safety professionals.
In your role, you will be supported by the Project Manager, Construction Manager along with the wider Daracon senior management team.

To be successful in this role you will have:
Essential
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
- Proven experience on civil construction projects involving earthworks, pipeline and concrete construction.
- 'Hard dollar' contract experience.
- Ability to forge relationships with relevant client representatives and stakeholders
- Have good leadership skills, to lead, mentor and develop a team to meet key project milestones and deliverables.
- Have strong organisational skills to be able to manage your time and plan effectively in a fast paced, diverse and changing environment
- Have exceptional communication skills will be one of your key strengths, in particular your ability to negotiate and influence others at a variety of levels of business will be key to your success
- Have confidence in your decision-making ability, particularly the ability to think outside of the square, problem solve and act accordingly.
- Class C Drivers Licence
Desirable
- Past experience or understanding of NSW or QLD mining operations
