People, Talent & Community Relations Coordinator

Port Augusta, SA | Part Time (0.8 FTE - 30.4hrs per week)

AMY Nominees Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Antakirinja Matu-Yankunytjatjara Aboriginal Corporation (AMYAC), is seeking a passionate and community-minded People, Talent & Community Relations Coordinator to help shape a culturally respectful and capable workforce.

This is your opportunity to make a real impact by supporting Indigenous employment, training, and community development across the Far North of South Australia.

As the People, Talent & Community Relations Coordinator, you will coordinate recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, training, and HR support. You'll also lead the coordination of Indigenous Support Officers (ISOs), build strong relationships with stakeholders, and represent AMY Nominees at community events and forums.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Coordinate training programs and maintain certification records
  • Support career development and performance reviews
  • Lead and support Indigenous Support Officers and mentoring services
  • Build relationships with local communities, RTOs, and job agencies
  • Provide first-level HR support and maintain employee records
  • Travel regularly to mine sites and communities (including Prominent Hill Mine Site and Coober Pedy)

Essential Requirements

  • SA Driver's Licence (manual) and National Police Clearance
  • Experience in training/employment program coordination
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR record-keeping
  • Ability to work independently and travel as required
  • Cultural awareness and ability to engage with Aboriginal communities

Desirable Requirements

  • Qualifications in HR, Community Services, or Training & Development
  • Experience with HRIS (e.g., Employment Hero)
  • Background in mining or Indigenous workforce development
