Primary objective

Provide effective leadership and management to a multi-functional team of specialists to ensure a high level of system

management/administration, quality service delivery and corporate client training services. Ensuring managed systems and services

support client agencies needs and government directions.

Context statement

Across Government Systems manages whole of enterprise (common use) business systems through their lifecycle from strategy to design,

development, release and deployment, operational delivery, maintenance, support and retirement. The financial systems support team

provide level 2 support and configuration of the production systems environments.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Constructively lead and effectively manage a systems support team with a focus on continuous improvement of quality service

delivery.

2. Provide advice to key stakeholders in relation to the development, delivery and maintenance of relevant services and the identification

of potential risks, sensitivities and solutions.

3. Implement and maintain relevant service delivery frameworks, strategies and systems relevant to the environment including incident,

problem and knowledge management, and the monitoring of SLA's.

  1. Develop appropriate policies, procedures and work instructions that result in effective and efficient digital services to clients.
  2. Develop and maintain effective collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders such as product owners and business system owners

and external service providers.

6. Actively participate as a full member of the Branch contributing innovative ideas and solutions to all aspects of Branch business.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Proven experience in business systems management and administration, including the delivery of client-focused system services.

2. Well-developed technical acumen and ability to provide analysis, advice, problem solving, and solutions tailored to meet business

needs.

3. Proven expertise in professionally developing people and leading teams to a culture of continuous growth and improvement.

  1. Proven high level stakeholder engagement, customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with

people of diverse cultures.

5. Demonstrated organisational skills, with the ability to flexibly respond to changing priorities and deadlines across multiple service

streams.

6. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, respectful and

innovative.

Desirable

1. Qualifications in information technology or certifications in DevOps, ITIL, or other related discipline.

  1. Prior experience working with complex integrated system environments featuring mainframe hosted systems.
