About Us
Hahndorf Brezelhaus is an exciting new café and bakery opening in late October in the heart of the Adelaide Hills, just 25 minutes from Adelaide. Operated by experienced locals who already run two successful venues in Hahndorf, we're passionate about bringing handcrafted food to life.
Our menu will feature German pretzels, artisan breads, pastries, rolls & sandwiches, seasonal plated breakfasts, and a small selection of lunch offerings, with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and creativity.
About the Roles
We are looking for Pastry Cooks and Bakers to join our opening team. With multiple full-time, part-time, and casual positions available, you'll play a key role in shaping our offering from day one.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and creating a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods
- Working with breads, doughs, and traditional European-style baking
- Contributing ideas for new pastry items and seasonal offerings
- Supporting plated breakfast and light lunch preparation as required
- Maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and creativity
Whether you're a qualified pastry chef/baker or an experienced cook with a passion for pastry and baking, we'd love to hear from you.
What We're Looking For
- Solid pastry, bakery, or cookery experience
- Strong skills in doughs, pastries, and baking techniques
- Creativity and flair in developing new pastry items
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, hands-on team
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and public holidays
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and consistency
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene
- Passion and drive – formal qualifications are welcome but not essential
