About Sum Yung Guys

Sum Yung Guys is a well-established and highly regarded restaurant, known for delivering a unique dining experience with bold flavours, quality drinks, and exceptional service. As we prepare for a busy summer season, we are expanding our Front of House team and are seeking dedicated professionals to join us.

The Roles

We are recruiting for two key positions:

  • Waitstaff – Passionate, energetic individuals who thrive in guest-facing roles, delivering outstanding table service and creating memorable experiences.
  • Bartenders – Skilled hospitality professionals with cocktail and bar experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

While these are separate roles, we especially value all-rounders who are confident stepping onto the floor as well as behind the bar.

Key Responsibilities

Waitstaff

  • Greeting and seating guests with warmth and professionalism
  • Taking orders and providing attentive table service
  • Supporting smooth service in collaboration with the bar and kitchen
  • Maintaining clean and organised service areas

Bartenders

  • Preparing and serving a range of beverages, including cocktails
  • Providing knowledgeable recommendations on drinks and pairings
  • Maintaining high standards of bar presentation and stock control
  • Assisting with service and supporting floor operations (including serving a section) when required

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in floor service and/or bar and cocktail service
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for delivering excellent hospitality
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends over the summer period
  • Willingness to develop and expand knowledge of South-East Asian cuisine
