About the Role

We are seeking 2 young team members to join our team. Drivers will be making local deliveries to a fixed area from our Prestons depot every day. One of the driver will have the opportunity to drive a HR truck to do night shift regional linehaul run start within few months. Both HR drivers will eventually become backup drivers of our MC crew for WA route and fill the role when our usual MC drivers become sick. (also opportunity to become formal MC driver if willing to be away from home very often, as we have plan to expand)

All applicants must have at least one year of commercial driving experience (this could be in light vehicles such as vans and utes).

PLEASE HAVE AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE AS A FULL-TIME VAN/UTE COURIER DRIVER.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operating heavy vehicles safely and professionally. (Automatic fleet)

  • Multi-drop deliveries and pick-ups, mainly of dangerous goods

  • Punctual and agile time management in a fast-paced working environment

  • Drivers could occasionally drive a forklift to load/unload the truck (if forklift licensed)

  • Follow the load restraint guide as per the NHVR requirement

Skills and Experience

  • A current dangerous goods driver's licence or willing to obtain one

-Good knowledge of the Sydney road network

  • Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)

HR (at least 1-year commercial driving, such as van couriers)

  • Sufficient English communication skills

  • the ability to work in a team environment

  • be self-driven, motivated and efficient

  • eagerness and enthusiasm to learn

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Right to work in Australia

  • ABN or ACN, as this is a subcontractor driver job
