We are currently seeking a full-time generalist pastor to oversee the Missions portfolio at St Paul's Castle Hill. We are an Anglican church with a long history of a vibrant youth and children's ministry, expansive music ministry through CityAlight, and a growing seniors and young adults ministry.

We're a church of 2000 members, holding 3 services each Sunday. Our staff team is around 25 people, including clergy, pastoral workers, creative administration, and business management teams.

Being part of the St Paul's staff team in any capacity means working alongside a growing and gifted team of people in ministry for the purposes of God's Kingdom, engaging with our mission to use every opportunity to bring the Gospel of light to every household, every community, and every generation.

You will report to our Senior Minister, working alongside our Care Pastor, Integration Co-ordinator and our pastoral staff team, and overseeing volunteer teams.

KEY RESPONSIBLITY AREAS

MISSION

  • Oversight of Mission opportunities locally and globally.
  • Building relatoinships with all Mission partners currently including Compassion, International Justice Mission, CMS, SIM, BCA, ENC and SRE.
  • Engagement in mission trips
  • Co-ordinate with the CityAlight team to develop a cohesive mission strategy particularly in relation to Asia and SE Asia

EVANGELISM

  • Lead the evangelism strategy for St Paul's
  • Training and equipping of church members and church staff, including oversight of courses such as Alpha and Christianity Explained

PASTORAL CARE

  • Work alongside our Care Pastor to co-ordinate and provide pastoral support to individuals and families
  • On call pastoral work as required
  • Oversee and support our prayer groups

SUNDAY SERVICES

  • Work alongside our Sunday Teams (Heart Teams and Connect Teams) to help provide pastoral care to our congregations.
  • Involvement in services (training, service leading, preaching, prayer etc) as required
