The Venue

Join us at Loulou, our French all-day Bistro, Boulangerie and Traiteur at Lavender Bay. The venue is modern European in presentation with the style reflecting the great contemporary New York/Parisian bistros and bars. The service style is polished, intuitive, knowledgeable, and attentive, but always fun, fast, and relaxed.

Loulou is part of Etymon Projects, a hospitality services business pioneering a new level in premium hospitality, luxury accommodation, wellness facilities and retail concepts.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting a Restaurant Manager to take carriage of the people experience of our guests and team.

Specifically, we are looking for a well-rounded manager who engages their team to put the guest experience at the forefront and ensures a killer vibe, every single service.

Of course, you will hold ultimate accountability for the financial performance of the venue and uphold compliance as it relates to Health, Safety and Environment, and the Liquor License. You will be a jack of all trades, wearing many hats, bouncing ideas off your Head Chef and the precinct heads of department. Ultimately you will be responsible for delivery against KPI's set as they relate to the performance of one of the venues in the AURA Precinct within your respective venue (or venues).

The Role

  • A people leader - both from a guest and team perspective; you bring the fun and the passion.
  • Craft the guest experience to position the venue at the forefront of guests minds to keep them coming back.
  • Mentor and support the Front of House team to deliver a high-quality execution of service including recruitment, onboarding and training.
  • Manage the floor plan to maximise service periods in collaboration with Reservations and Events and the venue staff.
  • Work with the Head Chef and Reservations and Events on the planning and execution of menus for a la carte and event bookings.
  • Deliver consistent service that is focused on excellence, with a passion for the product.
  • Have a financial focus including rostering to labour costings and stock control
  • Support the strategy around growing the community of locals and regulars within and around the business
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety and Environment policies, the Workplace Risk Management Plan and Liquor Licensing.
