The RoleWe are currently seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and creative Lifestyle Officer (LO) to join our dedicated team. This role plays a vital part in enhancing the lives of our residents by coordinating and delivering high-quality, person-centred lifestyle and leisure programs.
Working under the guidance and direction of the Lifestyle Coordinator, you will assist in designing, planning, and facilitating activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development and implementation of lifestyle programs tailored to the individual needs, interests, and abilities of residents.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that support their independence, self-esteem, and social connections.
- Encourage resident participation and provide support during activities.
- Contribute to the planning of special events, outings, and celebrations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and feedback.
- Support a person-centred care model by building positive relationships with residents and their families.
- Collaborate with clinical and care staff to ensure a holistic approach to resident wellbeing.
- Comply with all relevant health and safety guidelines and organisational policies.
To be successful in this role, you will be passionate about enriching the lives of others and have the creativity and compassion to deliver engaging and therapeutic lifestyle activities.
Essential Criteria:
- A genuine interest in working with older people in a residential care setting.
- Previous experience in a similar role (desirable).
- Certificate III in Individual Support, or similar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation and reporting.
