AHLG are seeking a talented Landscape Designer/Landscape Architect who will be responsible for creating innovative and visually appealing landscape designs for high-end residential projects, as well as playing a crucial role in client communication and relationships, quotation organisation and collaborating with our estimator, landscape manager, project manager and construction team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong creative vision, excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role requires a combination of design expertise, client coordination, and organisational capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Landscape Design/Landscape Architect:

  • Full time, Monday to Friday.
  • Develop creative and functional landscape designs in accordance with client requirements, site specifications, and budgetary constraints.
  • Incorporate sustainable and environmentally friendly practices into design solutions.
  • Select appropriate plants, materials, and hardscape elements to achieve desired aesthetic and functional outcomes.
  • Create detailed drawings, plans, and presentations to effectively communicate design concepts to clients, Landscape Estimator and construction team members.

Client Coordination:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining professional and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct initial consultations with clients on site to understand their needs, preferences, and budgetary considerations.
  • Offer expert advice and guidance to clients, addressing their questions, concerns, and design modifications.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, Project Manager and site supervisor to ensure their vision and expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Gather all information to assist the Landscape Estimator to construct an accurate quotation for the client.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Degree or diploma in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software and tools, including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, team members, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of horticulture, construction techniques, and local regulations related to landscape design is preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and possess a problem-solving mindset.
