Room Leader - Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator – Djinda Dreaming Education, Quinns Rock

Djinda Dreaming Education- Quinns Rock is seeking a passionate and dedicated Room leader - Diploma-qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a culturally rich, inclusive environment that values connection to Country and community.

The RoleAs a valued member of our team, you will:

  • Lead and manage a room/team of educators, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children in the room.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support educators, including allocating tasks and responsibilities.
  • Foster strong relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Monitor and document children's learning and development, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
  • Maintain compliance with the National Quality Standards (NQS), centre policies, and regulations.
  • Manage routines such as meals, rest, and transitions effectively.
  • Engage families through open communication about children's progress and room activities.
  • Support inclusion and meet the needs of individual children, including those with additional needs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education)
  • A current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Sound knowledge of the NQS and EYLF
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts (including opening/closing)
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • A commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive practice
  • A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
