Alisa Craig Cottage offers a true home away from home experience with a small team approach that is unique in the Hunter. It provides our guests with the options of day, overnight, emergency, and planned respite care in one of our four private bedrooms with en-suite.
About the role
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced coordinator to guide our Novacare support team members while providing care and support services to our carers and guests at our beautiful, renovated federation respite cottage located in Hamilton.

As a key NovaCare ambassador and highly visible organisational representative, our coordinator will project a positive and professional image that enhances the reputation of NovaCare and Ailsa Craig Cottage with our small team care approach. Carers Supporting Carers
Skills & Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead and promote change and contribute positively to workplace culture.
- Minimum 3 years in a similar position.
- Team leader level aged care management experience is required for this coordinator position.
- A great attitude and a sense of humour
- Proven experience and strong knowledge of funding in HCP and CHSP
- Skills and the capability to successfully manage a boutique respite cottage.
- Grow and develop a team within a pro-active and positive workplace culture.
- Understanding of case coordination, multidisciplinary teamwork, and the ability to multi-task.
- Previous work experience in providing personal care and services to frail aged and people with Dementia.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop goal orientated care plans.
- Proven achievements to promote quality and safety in the workplace.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including computer literacy.
- The right to work in Australia.
- A current NSW driver's licence
- National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain.
- Proof of Influenza Vaccination
- Certificate III/IV in Aged Care qualification is required for this role.
- Current First Aid certificate is required at time of application commencement.
