The Client:
Our client is one of the world's leading providers of factory and mining automation technology, consistently ranked among the top two globally within their core markets. Their world-class solutions help companies in mining, resources and manufacturing improve safety, efficiency, and productivity.
They are now seeking an Industry Account Manager (Mining Automation) to take ownership of the QLD and NSW territories. This is a relationship-driven role with a strong focus on account management (80%) alongside developing new business opportunities (20%). Regular travel will be required - approximately one week in NSW every 4 weeks, and regional QLD travel every 6-8 weeks.
Your Responsibilities:
* Grow the Territory: Manage and expand existing accounts while identifying new opportunities across mining, resources and automation.
* Win Projects of Scale: Drive a mix of quick-turn orders and strategic projects ($100K+).
* Be the Technical Partner: Collaborate with engineers, OEMs, and end users to deliver tailored solutions across the full product suite.
* Plan & Execute: Develop territory sales strategies, monitor competitor activity, and provide insights to strengthen regional growth.
* Collaborate for Success: Partner with colleagues, product specialists and management to deliver client-focused outcomes.
* Stay Accountable: Maintain accurate CRM records, track pipeline performance and contribute to continuous improvement.
About You:
You're conscientious, motivated and technically curious. You enjoy building relationships, thrive on autonomy and have the resilience to succeed in a territory-based sales role.
You bring:
* At least 2 years' experience in sales or engineering within automation, PLC or control systems, mechatronics, electrical, mining or raw materials related industries.
* A consistent track record in account management and delivering sales growth.
* Technical aptitude and the ability to understand and apply automation technologies.
* Confidence managing both short (1 week) and longer (6-12 month) sales cycles.
* Strong communication, organisation and collaboration skills.
* Positive outlook, empathy, and the drive to achieve results.
