Due to our continued growth, Yutong Bus Centre WA will be moving to a new stand-alone dealership in 2025, and we are looking for a talented, committed Senior Parts Interpreter to join our team.
This hands-on role will involve working closely with the Service and Sales departments, overseeing day-to-day operations in WA, and collaborating with clients in remote areas to meet realistic KPIs. We are seeking an experienced Senior Parts Interpreter, preferably with a background in the Heavy Commercial Vehicle industry, who has a proactive attitude, experience managing a small team, and the ability to work with international team members. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the role, help grow the business and drive the team to the next level of excellence.
The role will report to the Operations Manager and is based in our WA branch in Belmont.
Key Accountabilities –
• Develop strong customer relationships both internally and externally.
• Provide parts advice and support to customers both internally and externally
• Prepare customer quotations & estimates
• Investigate any customer issues and rectify to a successful outcome
• Liaise with service, sales, warranty, and workshop staff
• Raise purchase orders
• Manage parts inventory, including monitoring stock levels
• Warehouse duties pick, pack, despatch and receive where necessary
• Respond to and process incoming phone, email & face to face inquiries
• Maintaining a high level of accuracy in part interpretation and processing orders
• Responsible for stock orders and stock takes
• Ensuring orders are processed and dispatched to clients in a timely manner
• Arrange shipment of orders with local couriers
• Any reasonable requests by the Manager
• Operate company vehicles and machinery safely and within company policy and state/national legislation/acts.
Skills and experience –
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Working knowledge of parts for heavy duty vehicles
• Ability to work autonomously but still be part of the team
• High attention to detail
• Stocktaking experience
• High level focus on delivering great customer service
• Knowledge of freight processes for delivery of freight to customers
• Minimum valid C-Class drivers' license
• High Risk – Forklift license
• Experience with Pentana software
