About the role

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Principal Engineer leads engineering excellence across scalable systems, architecture, and innovation. Working closely with product, tech and business leaders, this role mentors teams and aligns technical strategies with business goals.

Duties/Key responsibilities

  • Design and deliver complex, scalable systems and platforms
  • Partner on architecture strategy and governance
  • Guide and mentor engineering teams across solution design
  • Collaborate with product and business leaders to align goals
  • Champion innovation through tech exploration and DevOps practices

Skills and experience

  • 5+ years in senior engineering or technical leadership roles
  • Expertise in large-scale software solutions using .NET stack
  • Strong knowledge of cloud (Azure preferred) and DevOps practices
  • Deep understanding of scalable architecture and governance
  • Skilled in domain-driven design and cloud-native development
  • Excellent stakeholder and communication skills
  • Passion for mentoring and fostering team capability
  • Specialisation in architecture, integration, data, infrastructure or security
