We are partnering with a high growth fintech scaleup that is transforming how Australians experience transactions, embedding digital receipts, loyalty, and rewards directly into the payment process.

They are now looking for a Principal Engineer to shape architecture, mentor senior engineers, and drive the next evolution of their AI powered platform processing millions of events daily.

You Will

  • Lead architecture and build event driven systems (AWS EKS, Aurora, Lambda, SQS, SNS)
  • Design and ship production code in and TypeScript
  • Champion clean code, automation, and CI/CD excellence
  • Drive AI adoption across engineering workflows
  • Partner with Product and Data to deliver new personalisation features


You Have

  • 10+ years software engineering experience with expertise in distributed systems
  • Deep AWS, IaC, and CI/CD knowledge
  • Proven startup or scaleup background
  • Curiosity for AI and automation
  • Great communication and mentoring skills
