The Role:

An opportunity now exists to join our Global Freight Forwarding division as a full-time Freight Officer in our team in Tullamarine, VIC.

This role is responsible for processing export shipments while coordinating and maintaining excellent customer service.

The goal will be to achieve high accuracy through our forwarding systems to ensure high productivity and operational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Registration and processing of Export shipments
  • Shipment tracking through S/Line and/or NVOCC web site.
  • Liaising with Customs, Quarantine, S/Line & ACFS as required.
  • Coordination of customer p/up requirements
  • Processing in accordance with Australian Border Force requirements.
  • Customer queries
  • Data Entry, reporting and delay updates.
  • Invoice customers and agents in timely and accurate manner.
  • General administration duties
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as requested by the Team Leader/Supervisor

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Maintain high level attention to detail
  • Ability to work unsupervised and be proactive in completing tasks assigned to the job function.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Visa Status – Australia Citizen or Permanent Residency.
  • At least 1 Year of ocean Export experience in a Freight Forwarding Company.

In this role due to the nature of the operations, you may be required to work hours outside of this band.
