About the role

Due to the steady, ongoing growth of the JBS business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for passionate trainers to join the People & Culture team as Group RTO Trainer & Assessor.

The role  can be based at JBS Corowa or Brooklyn sites working with our company (RTO) Registered Training Organisation. The positions will work across both Corporate and Production functions and report directly to the Team Leader Training Delivery.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Planning, delivering and conducting assessmentsProviding training, advice and guidance to students throughout their learning experienceDelivery of learning using a variety of methods including classroom, virtual, on-site and general discussionsIdentifying areas for improvement and advise recommending changes as requiredAct as the first point of contact for student supportIdentifying learning needs and working with site to determine possible solutionsProviding additional assistance where LLN/disability is identified and requires reasonable adjustmentCompleting regular validation of learning materials, as the subject matter expertReviewing and updating any inconsistencies within assessments and training materialsPlanning future training sessions both classroom and virtualAssisting in scheduling training and assessment of students based on site requirementsChecking accuracy of paperwork and ensuring student requirements are metGeneral administration as requiredConduct Mintrac Overseas Skilled Worker Assessments

About You:

A highly motivated individual with a passion for the meat processing industry and a passion for working with peoplePrevious experience in a Meat Processing operations in the areas Beef, Lamb and PorkPreferable to hold current Cert 3 Meat Processing qualification or similarMust have or be willing to complete a current Certificate IV in Training and AssessmentHave current Mintrac Overseas Skilled Worker Assessor qualification or prepared to obtain the qualificationNatural ability to support others and encourage learningResponds calmly in difficult situations, maintaining a strong customer service focusAble to consider other people's perspectivesStrong computer literacy skills including MS word and outlookDemonstrated ability to work autonomously and also within a team environmentMust be passionate and willing to consider continuous improvement opportunitiesAble to partner with site staff and support learning and development practicesAble to identify opportunities for improvement and acts in the best interest of all stakeholdersAble to make self fully available as required
