About The Team
The Supporter Experience and Digital Unit aims to ensure Cancer Council NSW remains a leader in supporter-centric fundraising, using data & insights to guide us in building lifelong supporter connections, and remain at the forefront of digital marketing in our sector.
About The Role
The Website Development Specialist will be responsible for leading CCNSW's website portfolio, delivering website experiences which provide the best experience for Cancer Council supporters and people affected by cancer. This will involve upholding internal brand in all areas, to continue our emphasis on efficient, data-driven decision making.
This role will be a 12 months fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role
- Support Digital Lead and Supporter Experience and Digital Unit Manager in the development and operation of mission websites
- Provide a key point of contact for other divisions, working with them to action quick change requests, deliver new landing pages, online forms or manage larger online deliverables
- Liaise with multiple external stakeholders, such as design and development agencies, to deliver website projects to formal and informal briefs
- Lead site maintenance and technical SEO efforts, to maintain a portfolio high performing websites
- Continue efforts to improve accessibility across our website ecosystem
- Work with the Digital Team, using your technical skills to create efficiencies in product delivery and data-based decision making
- Work with our IT team to ensure high standards of security and privacy are maintained across our websites
- Perform administration tasks to support team and unit functioning as required
- Uphold consistent graphical and writing styles in line with brand guidelines
- Maintain external relationships, including ensuring developers, hosts or other suppliers deliver services to an acceptable level of quality and timeliness
- Maintain internal relationships, while representing the digital team and promoting good digital practice throughout the organisation.
Essential
About you
- At least 3 years' experience in website development and maintenance using Wordpress or similar CMS
- Proven skills in HTML and CSS
- Ability to lead delivery of website products, conducting simple design and development or managing external developers and designers.
- Sound understanding of Google Analytics and how to use it to provide useful insights to stakeholders
- Excellent ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure projects are completed in line with expectations
- Experience with a wide range of digital tools and an understanding of how these can work together
- Proven ability to understand and accommodate competing priorities, technical limitations, resourcing constraints and tight deadlines
- Willingness to learn new tools and assist others with digital requests
- Ability to manage own workload, work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong sense of accountability and customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management skills – personable, collaborative, confident & flexible.
Desirable
- Experience working in the NFP industry.
- Understanding of Javascript and PHP
