About the role

We have an opportunity for a Senior Lawyer- Media Law to be part of our Commercial & Administrative Law team, within the Office of the General Counsel. 

The Senior Lawyer is responsible for the provision of high quality, timely, ethical and professional legal services in relation to commercial and other matters involving the NSWPF, with a particular focus on legal matters relating to the NSWPF's media activities.

This includes, for example, transacting production and similar agreements, intellectual property licensing and advice, publication review, and defamation advice.While the Senior Lawyer's practice will primarily be constituted by legal matters related to the NSWPF's media activities, the Senior Lawyer will also be expected to undertake work arising in the Commercial & Administrative Law Unit's other work streams from time to time, including in administrative law. 

The successful candidate will either have a specialisation of relevance to the Senior Lawyer's role or sufficient transferable skills, knowledge and experience to enable the development of such specialisation with support.
