The City of Newcastle (CN) has an exciting career opportunities for a Trainee Business Services

This opportunity is a 2-year fixed-term contract within our Finance Property & Performance service unit. You will be part of the business support, process improvement and customer excellence team and will form an integral part of providing a customer-centric approach to our community.

You will work closely with highly experienced and qualified people within the Finance Property & Performance team, where you will be part of a professional, dedicated, and passionate team that supports professional development opportunities.

You will gain a broad range of skills and capabilities, including general administration duties, drafting correspondence, reports, preparation of agendas, coordination of meetings, briefing notes, memos, minute taking, internal/external customer enquiries and general research.

What is next?

If you are successful in progressing to the next stage of our recruitment process:   

You will be required to attend 1 x group assessment centre for a 3-hour period between Tuesday 30th September - Thursday 2nd October 2025.

Remuneration:  $37, % annual leave loading, yearly payment + 12% Superannuation per annum for a 35-hour week
