- Engage and build trust with families through home visits, stakeholder meetings, and community partnerships, ensuring access to relevant support services.
- Ensure child safety by proactively identifying risks, responding to concerns, and following Mission Australia's Child & Youth Safe policies and reporting procedures.
- Collaborate with external services to coordinate holistic support, facilitate group learning sessions, and promote long-term positive change for families.
- Maintain accurate case records by completing assessments, case notes, referrals, and reports in line with policies and best practices.
- Promote continuous improvement by participating in service evaluations, team processes, and community networks to enhance service delivery
Requirements for Success
With an already established career in the child, youth and family sector, you will be passionate about supporting families to strengthen the care of protection of their children. The skills and capabilities you bring include:
- Hold a degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology or a similar field
- Experience in child protection, youth work, or out-of-home care, with knowledge of Early Intervention principles.

- Excellent administration, communication, and time management skills to manage caseloads, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration
Please include a cover letter as part of your application outlining your motivation for joining our Intensive Family Support team.
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
