Restaurant Manager – Job Summary
Reporting To: Managing Partner
Primary Objective:
Provide strong leadership to ensure exceptional guest service, product quality, and operational excellence at Bondi Pizza. Drive profitability while maintaining high standards in food safety, cleanliness, staff training, and compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Team Management
- Oversee full Front of House (FOH) operations.
- Lead and support Hospitality Managers, Store Trainers, and FOH team.
- Manage performance metrics: mystery shop scores, wage control, bar profit, wastage, average check, etc.
Guest Experience & Service
- Promote a guest-first culture: "every guest leaves happy."
- Ensure service standards and steps of service are consistently followed.
- Address and follow up on guest feedback to achieve strong NPS scores.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety policies (zero-tolerance on breaches).
- Ensure team is trained and compliant in all safety practices.
- Oversee compliance with RSA, OH&S, and company procedures.
People Development
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to meet business needs.
- Ensure succession planning for key roles.
- Conduct ongoing training, including RSA and Food Safety.
Business Performance
- Conduct fortnightly mock business reviews and ensure corrective action.
- Manage stock levels and monthly bar stocktakes.
- Drive sales growth through upselling, local marketing, and repeat visits.
- Control costs across staffing, food, beverage, and operations.
Leadership & Culture
- Lead by example: floor presence, customer service, respect, and policy compliance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high standards.
- Encourage participation in staff incentive programs and traineeships.
Administration & Planning
- Ensure FOH rosters are completed 2 weeks in advance.
- Work with Marketing on local initiatives.
- Manage restaurant maintenance and vendor quotes.
- Ensure compliance with industrial relations laws and visa regulations.
Position Requirements
- Valid RSA
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Senior First Aid qualification
- Full-time work rights in Australia
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
