About the role
Ladybug Therapeutic Collective is seeking a Behavioural Practitioner to join our team. This is a contract position, offering flexible work arrangements to support our clients' needs. As a Behavioural Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing evidence-based behavioural interventions and support to individuals and families within our dynamic, multidisciplinary practice.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify clients' strengths, needs, and building rapport with the client
- Developing and implementing individualised behaviour support plans
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, families, and support networks to ensure a holistic, coordinated approach to client care
- Maintaining detailed client records, progress notes, and data to monitor and report on client outcomes
- Participating in regular team meetings, professional development, and clinical supervision to enhance your practice
What we're looking for
- A tertiary qualification in psychology, social worker, counsellor, or a related field, with a strong background in applied behaviour analysis
- Demonstrated experience providing behaviour support and therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health needs, or complex behaviours
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills to effectively manage complex client cases
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices in the field
- Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g. Australian Psychological Society, Australian Association of Social Workers) is highly desirable
