Position Overview

The Early Learning Center Director will play a crucial role in leading the CatholicCare Early Learning Center to provide high-quality education and care, ensuring positive outcomes for children and their families. The Director will foster respectful relationships with families and develop a capable team of educators, while ensuring compliance with legislative and operational requirements.

As the leader, you will encourage a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, supporting educators in their professional growth and maintaining a commitment to quality practices that benefit all children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with families, supporting their engagement in their children's learning journeys.
  • Lead and mentor a team of educators, promoting ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
  • Engage with community stakeholders to foster collaborative relationships and enhance the Center's profile.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain a Quality Improvement Plan.
  • Champion a culture of child safeguarding and uphold children's rights in all Center activities.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, with demonstrated leadership capabilities and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

  • Tertiary Degree in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA recognized).
  • Current NSW Education Standards Authority Accreditation (NESA) registration.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leading a team in early years' education and care.
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary pedagogical leadership and practice.
  • Experience in supporting diverse learning needs and leading a service through assessment and rating processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
  • Current unencumbered NSW driver's license.
