About the Role

Education Services International (ESISG) is seeking experienced and culturally aware Trainers & Assessors to deliver foundation skills training to participants in both the Army Indigenous Development Program (AIDP) and Regional Education Development Program (REDP) at our Berrimah site.

You'll deliver engaging and compliant training to help participants build essential literacy, numeracy, communication, and work-readiness skills—preparing them for careers in the Australian Defence Force or civilian workforce.


What You'll Do
  • Deliver accredited training (FSK20119 – Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways or Skill Sets) to program participants.
  • Support participants' personal, cultural, and professional growth.
  • Provide tailored feedback and guidance to achieve learning goals.
  • Collaborate with ESI staff, Army personnel, and program partners.
  • Assess and mark work in line with RTO and compliance standards.
  • Model professional behaviours and foster a safe, inclusive environment.

What You'll Bring

Essential:

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
  • VET sector training and assessment experience.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements for accredited training.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ochre Card / Working with Children Clearance.
  • No criminal history preventing work with youth or obtaining a Defence/Common Access Card.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Defence, Indigenous training programs, or structured environments.
  • Experience training and assessing foundation skills or FSK units.
  • Cultural competency and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Hospitality sector qualifications to deliver SITXCOM007.
