About The Role
At the ABC, we connect Australians with the stories, voices and conversations that matter. We're looking for a passionate and creative Publicist to shape and deliver innovative national publicity campaigns that engage audiences, build industry relationships, and showcase the very best of ABC content and platforms.

As a custodian and advocate of the ABC brand you'll ensure that publicity campaigns and materials reflect the ABC charter and editorial policies. You will also;

  • Develop and implement innovative national publicity campaigns as part of integrated marketing strategies for ABC's program and campaign content.
  • Develop influencer marketing (earned media) strategies for priority brands/products to generate reach and widespread positive communications across all earned media channels.
  • Manage the production and distribution of required core materials
  • Schedule and coordinate print and online interviews, TV appearances, photo shoots, set visits, radio interviews, digital initiatives, events and promotional opportunities.

We're Looking For Someone With

  • Extensive skills and experience in publicity, ideally in the media sector, with proven experience in new/evolving media channels and platforms.
  • Highly advanced ability to produce digital and social assets with proven understanding of social media platforms, content and trends, relating to media opportunities and partnerships.
  • Comprehensive understanding of marketing and publicity protocols and essential interface with media – traditional and emerging.
  • Outstanding organisational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills – creative, persuasive and audience-focused.
