Hachette Australia has a new job opening for a publicist to be based in Sydney or Brisbane.

Reporting to the agency’s head of publicity, the publicist will be in charge of developing and executing new campaigns for Australian literature and specific international material. The campaigns are aimed at giving each author maximum exposure for their work.

Applicants must have at least two years’ experience in the arts and culture field or a similar line and have a passionate interest in Australia’s literary scene. The position will require candidates with excellent multitasking, time management, and social media management skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to build relations with stakeholders, and who have developed an extensive list of media contacts. A cover letter is highly recommended to be included alongside the CV.
