About the roleTo oversee the recruitment and effective planning and resourcing of the Venue & Ministry Programs team, ensuring excellence in service delivery, compliance, and alignment with Youthworks' mission.
Your responsibilitiesMinistry
- Role model Christian behaviour in all aspects of the role.
- Work autonomously and effectively in a ministry environment where time is used efficiently, honestly and resourcefully.
- Be an active team member, participating in team meetings and devotions, and be an active member of the Youthworks community.
- Demonstrate continual commitment to Youthworks' strategic plan.

- Lead, encourage, disciple and pastorally care for COE staff.
- Work under the leadership of Strategic Capability Manager to achieve excellence in all facets of ministry.
Service Delivery – Recruitment
- Oversee recruitment, vetting and onboarding of new team members.
- Liaise with Marketing, MST, Yr13 and engage with churches to promote staff recruitment.
Service Delivery – Resource & Operations Management
- Manage and allocate physical resources (equipment, vehicles, facilities, program materials) to ensure the effective delivery of programs.
- Collaborate with leadership on the procurement, storage, maintenance and auditing of equipment and resources.
- Develop and maintain systems for resource tracking, stock control, and booking.
- Coordinate logistics for camps and programs including transport and equipment distribution.
- Ensure all resources meet safety and compliance standards.
- Contribute to forward planning by forecasting resource needs in line with program growth.
- Authorise relevant invoices, orders and contracts in line with delegated authority.
- Provide hands-on operational support as required to cover gaps in delivery.
People & Planning
- Lead staff/task-related meetings.
Coordinate regular meetings of stakeholders to plan medium and long-term staffing needs.
- Support training and development of team members in partnership with the training team as required.
Systems & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records as required by Youthworks and industry standards.
- Report operational or resource-related issues promptly to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide feedback on system improvements to enhance service delivery.
Other
- Keep abreast of industry knowledge, initiatives and changes for continuous improvement.
- Attend Youthworks conferences, events and training as required.
- Adhere to Youthworks policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties within skill set as required.
Essential
- Qualifications in Outdoor Leadership (Certificate IV or higher).
- Current qualifications in First Aid and Water Rescue.
- At least 5 years' experience as a Christian Outdoor Educator.
- Proven skills in recruitment, training and operational management.
- Demonstrated experience in resource management, including procurement, logistics, stock control and budget oversight.
- Capacity for Christian servant leadership and the ability to positively influence others.
- Passion for Word Ministry, training and mentoring.
- Character marked by pastoral care, resilience and initiative.
- High standards of professionalism including compliance with safety standards and risk management.
- Demonstrable passion for the outdoors, education and ministry.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, databases and resource tracking systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Systematic, detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
- Strong work ethic.
- Personal Christian faith with active involvement in a local church and willingness to work within an Anglican organisation.
- Commitment to Youthworks' mission.
Desirable
- Leadership qualifications.
- Experience in contract management and supplier negotiations.
- Qualifications in Theology.
