About the Role
As a Cook, you'll prepare and serve high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents. You'll contribute to menu planning, maintain food safety standards, and ensure every plate is delivered with care and attention.
Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing, cooking, and plating meals for residents and functions
- Meeting special dietary requirements
- Supporting the development of menus and recipes
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and food safety compliance (HACCP)
- Ordering stock and managing supplies
- Collaborating with kitchen and care staff for seamless service
- Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and on time
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- At least 3 years' experience as a Cook
- National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Driver's Licence (for occasional travel to other sites)
- Recognised trade qualification
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Commitment to teamwork, respect, and service excellence
Desirable:
- Previous experience in aged care or healthcare kitchens
- Italian language skills
- Understanding of accreditation and continuous improvement processes
- HACCP or Food Safety Supervisor training
