Your new company

Our client, a private property group, is looking for a senior financial accountant to support them on a 3-month contract due to extended leave in the team. The office is based in the Sydney CBD and you will be required to be in the office 5 days a week.

Your new role

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Manage and execute month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate posting of journal entries.
  • Ensure financial practices comply with IFRSA and local regulations, including preparing statutory accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits and assist in preparing tax returns.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Support compliance and other corporate governance requirements.
  • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.

What you'll need to succeed

  • CA/CPA or equivalent
  • 3+ years commercial experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Yardi ERP experience is advantageous
  • Must be available to start immediately
  • WHV considered
