Full Time Plasterer - START NOW

We are seeking a skilled and reliable full-time Plasterer / Setter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying plaster and other finishes to interior and exterior walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of various plastering techniques, surface preparation, and finishing to ensure high-quality, long-lasting results.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in all aspects of plastering, including setting, skimming, patchwork, and surface preparation for both residential and commercial projects with knowledge of both new builds and Insurance/renovation working backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and clean work surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of plaster.
  • Apply coats of plaster or cement to walls, ceilings, and partitions.
  • Mix plaster to the desired consistency using hand tools or mixing machines.
  • Apply setting coats, base coats, and topcoats as needed.
  • Smooth and level surfaces using trowels, floats, and other finishing tools.
  • Repair cracks, holes, and other surface imperfections.
  • Install corner beads, mesh tape, and other reinforcement materials.
  • Work from plans, drawings, scopes, or verbal instructions.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and tools.
  • Follow health and safety procedures on all job sites.
  • Collaborate with other trades (e.g., painters, carpenters, electrician) when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with solid plastering, skimming, rendering, or drywall finishing.
  • Vocational training or apprenticeship in plastering or a related trade.
  • Familiarity with heritage plasterwork or decorative finishes as required.

Work Located throughout Greater Brisbane & Gold Coast.

Must have reliable transport & tools.
