The primary purpose of the Counter/Internal Sales Person position is to contribute as a productive and efficient member of the Counter Sales and Internal Sales staff extending quality customer service to our customers.

About the Role

Working Monday to Friday, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate that they enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and within a team of people who focus on ensuring our customers and staff receive quality and efficient service.

Location

This position will be based at our Cairns operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serving and advising customers at the sales counter
  • Provide exceptional customer service to efficiently take phone sales
  • Assisting with stock counts
  • Computer operation
  • Respond to phone calls, assisting customers and the Company's employees to optimise sales
  • Manage and process customer orders, quotations and enquiries
  • Provide product support and advise customers on product solutions
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and budgets
  • Retail product presentation as required
  • Operation of Forklift (if licensed)
  • Picking and packing of customer orders
  • Ensuring adherence to Workplace Health & Safety requirements and other Policies

  • Demonstrated experience as a Counter/Internal Sales Person
  • Demonstrated experience in internal phone sales
  • Intermediate Computer level
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to deliver excellent, quality customer service
  • Conscientious and Prompt
  • Desire to succeed and learn new things
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as an effective team member
