Role Overview:

As a Baker at Brooki Bakehouse, you will be responsible for producing a variety of baked goods according to our recipes and production schedules. You will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of quality and consistency.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cookies, brownies, cakes, and other specialty items.
• Accurately measure and mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and other tools.
• Monitor baking processes to ensure consistent quality and optimal results.
• Follow production schedules and meet deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to food safety standards.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of ingredients as needed.
• Contribute to the development of new recipes and product ideas.
• Ensure all baked goods meet Brooki Bakehouse's quality control standards.
• Effectively communicate with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience and/or qualification as a Baker in a commercial kitchen or bakery production environment.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques and principles.
• Ability to accurately measure and mix ingredients.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining baking equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
• A passion for baking and a creative mindset.
• Food handling certificate is desirable.
