About the job:
Kent are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Brisbane team working on the Ampol Future Fuels project. This is an amazing opportunity to join a critical Australian infrastructure project which will be instrumental in reducing emissions and improving the environment. In the role of Engineering Intern you will be responsible for learning aspects of engineering to meet the technical competency expectations of Kent and its clients. As a member of the engineering team, you will work closely and need to communicate effectively with all disciplines and Kent Management to ensure the company's reputation for high quality products and services is maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Support the engineering discipline teams during the execution of engineering related tasks.
- Perform calculations and design work in accordance with the Kent Quality Management System.
- Learn how to deliver highly professional services tailored to meet the needs of our clients.
- Learn the delivery of engineering in accordance with the relevant industry codes and standards whilst meeting best engineering practice.
- Perform all work in accordance with the Kent Quality Management and Health, Safety & Security System and within the agreed time and schedule constraints.
- In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organisation. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organisation, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
About You:
Our ideal candidate will have solid academic results and be in the process of completing an engineering degree. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong teamwork abilities, and a proven aptitude for problem-solving.
