About the role

Eastcoast Furniture Transport is seeking an experienced Heavy Combination (HC) or Multi Combination (MC) licensed driver to join our team of interstate freight specialists. As an HC/MC Interstate Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of furniture and homewares across state lines, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. This full-time role is based in Cranbourne, Victoria.

What you'll be doing

  • Safely operate HC or MC vehicles on long-haul interstate journeys, adhering to all relevant road transport regulations
  • Load, unload and secure freight in a timely and careful manner
  • Maintain detailed delivery records and provide excellent customer service to clients
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
  • Liaise with the dispatch team to optimise delivery schedules and routes
  • Work collaboratively with the wider logistics team to contribute to the overall success of the business

What we're looking for

  • Current HC or MC driver's licence with an exemplary driving record
  • Minimum 2 years' experience driving heavy vehicles interstate
  • Sound knowledge of road transport regulations and safety procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to problem solve effectively
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required
