Enterprise Architect

• Initial Contract: ASAP to 30 June 2026, with potential 12-month extension

• Candidates must be Australian citizens and hold a minimum Baseline security clearance, with the ability to obtain NV1, due to government requirements.

THE ROLE

As Enterprise Architect, you'll work with a diverse group of stakeholders to shape one of the agency's most significant programs. You'll play a key role in defining the current and future business landscape and driving technology solutions that enable real outcomes for the community.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Develop an operational understanding of existing IT infrastructure, Program Design Standards, and program work packages
• Work collaboratively with program representatives and technical teams to design the solution approach aligned with the future state design
• Collaborate with CIOD, FAD, and program leads to ensure enterprise architecture meets business and user needs
• Define architectural standards, principles, and guidelines to ensure consistency and alignment
• Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective IT solutions for complex business requirements
• Define and enforce IT governance frameworks, standards, and best practices
• Identify risks associated with technology adoption or integration and develop mitigation strategies
• Perform additional duties or assume responsibility for functions as directed by the Director

MANDATORY CRITERIA

• Understand Agile project delivery framework and have experience in managing IT change within an Agile project or Program.
• Experience in a similar role in a complex IT environment.
• Experience working with Program Managers and Product Owners managing competing requirements and business processes.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior executives and key stakeholders.
• Experience in ITIL processes and structures.
• Proven ability to deliver Enterprise Architecture in a complex ICT environment and meet business requirements which align with organisational/environmental constraints.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in producing innovative Enterprise Architecture for both current and future state.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical terminology.
