Conveyancing Role

We need to add another person to our award-winning property team. If you have the right values (teamwork, innovation and helpfulness) and at least 3+ years relevant experience, we are open to whether our next hire is a conveyancer or lawyer.

You in a nutshell

We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for helping people buy and protect their homes. You have a warm personality, a detail has never escaped your attention, and juggling many balls at once is your specialty.

Here is a bit more about you:

• You know your stuff – You have previously run your own conveyancing and subdivision files from beginning to end autonomously. At a minimum, you have at least 3 years experience in residential and off-the plan conveyancing, and you are comfortable using SPEAR.
• You are always happy to help - Nothing is ever too much trouble. Explaining the first home concession for the third time? Extend a finance clause AGAIN? No worries You're a positive and upbeat person, and will go the extra mile to keep our clients happy;
• You love being part of a team – If you see a colleague struggling to get a settlement through, you'll jump on the phone and help them out. If you are struggling, you are cool with asking for help. If you are someone who intends to largely work from home, this includes putting in the legwork to build relationships with others in our closeknit team.
• You have great ideas – You love coming up with new ways to make conveyancing better for our team and clients - we all meet each week to brainstorm new ideas to make the law better;
• You are tech savvy - we need someone who is comfortable using technology in all aspects of their work.
• You align with our values - this is something that we will explore together throughout the recruitment process.

The role in a nutshell

Conveyancers are responsible for settling approximately 20-25 files per month, running files independently from beginning to end.

We are a remote-first office (i.e. we work from the office if our clients need us to). We have quarterly full-firm days when the whole firm comes together and the property team meets once a week in the office to collaborate.

Since 2013, we've been finding ways to make the law easier for busy people. We practice in conveyancing, wills/estates and family law– all the legal needs that spring up as you start to build a nest for your family.

• We are always trying to come up with new cool ways to do things and have won heaps of innovation awards, including being crowned Australia's most innovative conveyancing team in the PEXA Property Innovation Awards. We run a Facebook group of 1300+ innovative Australian lawyers trying to do law differently.
