Multiquip is seeking a Trade Assistant - Welding & Fabrication (Workshop Based)

Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time role available

Location: Tamworth

Are you handy with a MIG welder and confident working with metal?

We're on the lookout for a practical, reliable Trade Assistant to join our workshop team.

No formal trade qualifications required — just solid experience, a good attitude, and the ability to work independently.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • General welding and fabrication of metal products and components
  • Repairing and modifying metal items around the workshop
  • Assisting with custom builds, maintenance tasks, and workshop improvements
  • Working unsupervised with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong MIG welding experience (formal qualifications not essential)
  • Ability to read basic plans or work from verbal instructions
  • Comfortable working solo and solving practical problems
  • A hands-on approach and pride in your workmanship
  • Forklift licence or mechanical aptitude a bonus
