As our Exercise Therapist Coordinator, you'll:
- Guide and support multiple sites with engaging programs
- Work alongside passionate allied health and care teams

Program Development and Implementation
- Ensure the consistent design and delivery of evidence-based exercise programs tailored to enhance residents' mobility, strength, and overall wellness.
- Develop comprehensive resources and training modules for AHAs to effectively implement exercise programs aligned with organizational standards and clinical indicators.
- Establish and maintain robust systems for monitoring program adherence, success rates, and resident/client outcomes, providing regular reports.
Support for Allied Health Assistants (AHAs)
- Provide guidance and mentoring to AHAs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Conduct regular audits of AHA-led exercise interventions, ensuring they are resident-focused and effective.
- Facilitate regular communication and feedback sessions with AHAs to address challenges and implement improvements in program delivery.
Exercise Space Management
- Oversee the functionality and optimization of internal exercise spaces, ensuring equipment is well-maintained, up-to-date, and accessible to residents/clients.
- Collaborate with site managers to identify needs and implement upgrades or modifications to facilities in alignment with resident requirements.
- Regularly assess and adapt community centre spaces to promote exercise therapy sessions and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Resident-Centered Outcomes
- Develop and implement exercise interventions to address the specific health needs and aspirations of diverse resident cohorts.
- Use data-driven methodologies to assist the business and key stakeholders to track, evaluate, and report on resident progress and the effectiveness of exercise programs.
- Regularly refine and enhance exercise interventions based on resident feedback and clinical outcomes to ensure optimal impact.
Wellness Program Development
- Support the expansion of the organization's wellness initiatives by integrating innovative exercise and wellness programs tailored to aged care settings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure wellness programs align with the Allied Health strategic vision and contribute to organizational growth.
Integration with Retirement Living Clients and Home Care Services
- Design and implement tailored exercise programs for Retirement Living and Home Care clients, ensuring programs are accessible and impactful.
- Collaborate with teams to maximize the utilization of internal exercise spaces and community resources.
Professional Development and Compliance
- Stay informed of emerging trends, research, and best practices in exercise physiology and aged care to maintain a high standard of program delivery.
- Ensure all programs comply with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Actively contribute to fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence within the Allied Health team.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field.
Accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) or equivalent.
Experience developing and managing exercise programs for older adults.
Proven leadership in mentoring multidisciplinary teams.
Experience in aged care, rehabilitation, or community health settings.
Skills and Capability
Advanced knowledge of exercise physiology in aged care.
Ability to design and evaluate evidence-based programs.
Strong organisational and analytical skills.
Familiarity with managing exercise spaces and equipment.
Knowledge of aged care regulatory and quality standards (Desirable).
Ability to oversee multiple sites and manage competing priorities (Desirable).
