About Us

Manning Asset Management is a dynamic and growing investment firm based in Sydney. With a focus on private markets, we pride ourselves on delivering consistent returns and operational excellence. As our team expands, we're looking for a dedicated Operations Associate to join our team full-time and support the Head of Operations in managing the day-to-day funds operations.

The Role

This newly created role is ideal for someone with a few years of experience in fund administration, registry, custody, and/or accounting. You'll work closely with the Head of Operations to ensure our operational processes run smoothly, accurately, and efficiently. This is a hands-on role with exposure to all aspects of fund operations, compliance, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fund Administration: Assist with unit pricing, reconciliation, and monthly valuation processes in coordination with external fund accountants.
  • Registry Oversight: Liaise with our registry to manage investor applications, redemptions, and communications.
  • Banking & Transactions: Assist in fund transfers for investments.
  • Compliance Support: Help maintain and implement internal policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement workflow enhancements, including automation and reporting tools.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure operational alignment, and to support overall business objectives.
  • Investor Support: Respond to investor queries.

About You

  • 2–5 years of experience in fund operations, registry, custody, or financial administration.
  • Proven experience in investment operations or a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Motivated and driven, with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to senior management and clients.
  • Comfortable working in a lean, high-performing team.
  • Familiarity with fund structures, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with data management and visualisation software such as PowerBI and Excel.
  • Comfortable working with back-end systems such as website management tools and CRMs.
