These two positions are being offered in a Permanent Full-Time role and a Permanent Part-Time role (0.53FTE), 20 hours per fortnight.

Townsville State High School
Is a co-educational secondary school in Railway Estate, offering Years 7-12 with a strong focus on inclusivity, academic achievement, and diverse pathways. The school provides broad subject offerings, including STEM, creative arts, and specialist programs such as its well-known basketball program. With a supportive learning environment, active student leadership, and a long local history, it continues to play an important role in the Townsville community.
Cranbrook State School
Is a friendly, community-focused primary school in Cranbrook, catering to Prep-Year 6. Known for its caring culture and strong parent involvement, the school places emphasis on respect, positive behaviour, and foundational academic skills. With a growing enrolment and a diverse student population, Cranbrook offers meaningful leadership opportunities and a nurturing environment that supports students' early learning and development.
Step Into Your Next Chapter:
The focus of the role is to provide support for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns in Townsville and surrounds, with vacancies currently at Cranbrook SS and Townsville SHS.
Wellbeing professionals employed through the Student Wellbeing Package work as part of schools' established student support teams to enhance the wellbeing and mental health support available to students.
This is a dynamic, school-based role and as the Psychologist you will:
- Provide professional support and information for students, parents, carers and school communities that facilitate partnerships in decision making for the enhancement of all students' learning.
- Provide services such as counselling, assessment and intervention, focusing on students' mental health and wellbeing.
